TMC Travel Service was organized as an affiliate of Tairiku Shoji Company, a gift store for Japanese visiting tourists and business residing here. Both companies were founded by Japanese American and incorporated in the State of New York. |

The Travel agence was officially recognized as an accredited and qualified travel agency by IATA (International Air Transport Assoication). |

Official recognition and accreditation was given to TMC Travel service by ATC (Air Traffic Conference of America). |

Increasing success in the commercial travel business brought official recognition by WHC (Western Hemisphere Conference) and IPSA (International Passenger Ship Association). |

The Name of TMC Travel Agency was officially changed to New York Travel Service (NYTS). At this point, NYTS was considered the major carriers a prime producer of commercial travel sales specializing in the Far East market. |

A giant step in the technological advances of NYTS was the installation of the American Airlines SABRE Reservation System. This was a "First" among Japanese Travel agencies in New York City and Fifties among entire agency in Great New York Area. |

NYTS was now appointed a qualified agency for AMTRAK, and since has earned the meritorious award as a high yield Golden Spike Agency. |

Our second major computerized reservation system, United Airlines Apollo Reservation System, was installed at NYTS. We were the first Japanese-American travel agency to have two hi-tech automated reservation systems. New York Travel Service had now become a major factor and one of the top rated producers from the domestic and international carriers. |

In keeping abreast of the rapidly growing number of new companies and present accounts expanding to New Jersey, NYTS celebrated the opening of an important branch office in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. |

Another step forward in our expansion program was the establishment of our Long Island Branch in Melville, this important extension of our facilities was immediately tied into our existing systems thus enabling us to increase our capacity to service the Tri-State North eastern sector of the country. |

At this time, we restructured our entire accounting system with the installation of the ADS computerized accounting system. The most sophisticated and advanced accounting system designed specifically for the travel industry. Interfaced with our reservation system, it affords us extreme accuracy, speed and efficiency together with many acounting services for the benefit of our clients. |

NYTS now expanded overseas with the opening of a new office in Tokyo, thus offering our clients around-the-world service. |

NYTS opened new branch office in Atlanta, Georgia. |
